The Research WebQuest was developed so that you can become skilled at using databases, websites, and the OPAC (online public access catalog).

Imagine the day when you:

  •    are bringing home big paychecks and you want to find the best place to invest your money. 
  •    want to find out what car is the best buy or has the highest safety rating.
  •    want to find a new job in California
  •    want to find articles about the best colleges
  •    want information on testing for a civil service job
  •    want to find a CD for your favorite musician at the lowest price or the closest store
  •    want to graduate high school in four years, with the best GPA possible, …

The rest of your life you will have information needs.  How will you find the information you need? The more you develop your search skills, the better quantity and quality your information will be.  After completing this WebQuest, you should be familiar with research sources and research skills.  You will be able to find any information you need.
