Red Ribbon Week Canned Food Drive: “We CAN be Drug-free!”
West Hanover Elementary is hosting a canned food drive to support the food pantry at Life Point Church. Each grade level will collect a particular food needed:
Kindergarten AM: box of cold/hot cereal
Kindergarten PM: plastic jar of peanut butter
First grade: canned soup
Second grade: canned fruit
Third grade: canned vegetables
Fourth grade: plastic container of juice
Fifth grade: spaghetti sauce and box of spaghetti
Faculty: canned tuna/chicken or jelly

The WH PTA will once again be offering subs and pretzel sandwiches for sale for Election Day. Forms were sent home in student book bags. In case you missed them you can click here for Fall Pretzel Order Form and Fall Sub Sale Form. Please return to school with payment on 10/25. Pick up date is November 7th from 4 pm - 6 pm.
We have teamed up with Red Robin of Hershey to help raise funds for our Wildcash incentive program. Orders will be accepted from October 13-31. Gift cards are sold in $10 and $25 increments and are great holiday gifts or even the start to a fun family night. Please click here to print out the order form, complete it with your child's name, classroom teachers name and return with payment (cash only please) by Monday, October 31 if interested. Orders will be distributed on Conference day, November 8th, or sent home with your child on November 9th.

The WH PTA meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm in the school library. Free childcare is provided. We encourage you to attend a meeting to find out how you can become more involved in your child's educational experience!
Many thanks to Boy Scout Troop 27 who worked hard to repainted the recess/game lines on the upper playground at West Hanover School. A hundred number grid was added to allow for math fact review during recess. The scouts were alumni from West Hanover.

The Consultation Line offers discussion of effective strategies and resources available to deal with school-based bullying. Messages can be left 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will be returned MondayFriday during normal business hours.
