It has come to our attention that all field day helpers will need their clearances in order to volunteer and will then need to secure a CDSD badge to volunteer in the school.  Clearances will need to be completed by May 6, 2016 in order to be able make an appointment to get your CDSD badge so that you will be able to volunteer to help with Field Day.  We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to the extensive field day that we have at WH, the field day helper forms need to be returned by May 6.  If you are preparing to send in your Field Day volunteer form and HAVE CLEARANCES and a CDSD BADGE, please note this on the form so that it does not need to be returned.  THANKS so much!

More info on clearances can be found here and through this link on the CD Schools Website.  Once you have your clearances, please call 545-4703 ext 7 to make an appointment to get your CD Volunteer badge.  Once you receive your badge, it is good for 5 years.

  • Recycle Along with collecting Box Tops and Campbell's Labels for Education, West Hanover also collects drink pouches to be recycled. Please send in your empty drink pouches, like the ones used for Capri Sun, Honest Kids, and Kool-Aid Jammers drinks. You don't even need to remove the straw or spout; just rinse and dry the pouches and send them in a sealed ziplock bag (so they don't attract bugs). The money WHE earns from recycling the pouches helps to fund school events, such as the Mini-THON. So send your empty pouches in with your child; there is a green collection barrel right outside the school office that your child can drop them in on their way into school.  Check out this flyer for more details.
