Instructional Support      

 

This class is designed for students to receive additional instruction and assistance with their content courses.  Students must bring materials to class.  They will not be allowed to go to their lockers during the class period.  Students can use the time for completing homework assignments, finishing tests and quizzes, and preparing for upcoming assignments; complete transition activities; check grades and conference with their case manager; work on organizational and study strategies.

 

If a student does not have any work to do, they are encouraged to reread test chapters for review, read ahead to prepare for upcoming chapters, or quietly read of book of his or her choosing.  Excessive talking, sleeping, and game playing are not permitted.  Classroom room computers are for legitimate class assignments only.  They will not be used for surfing the web or playing online games.
