    Paxtang Elementary PTO Scholarship

The Paxtang PTO is proud of the accomplishments of all of our Paxtang kids and we love to hear about their successes after they leave our halls and go on to middle and then high school. In that spirit, the PTO is pleased to be able to provide a $1,000 scholarship each spring to a qualifying senior. Applicants must have attended Paxtang Elementary for at least 3 years.

The PTO is pleased to announce our 2 scholarship winners for 2020, each awarded $500 towards their educational goals.

JT Thomas and Jeff Gleiter are outstanding seniors at Central Daupin East High. Please join us in celebrating all of their accomplishments and wishing them well in their future endeavors! Congratulations, JT and Jeff!

    JT Thomas Jeff Gleiter

About JT: Throughout his four years at East, JT has been heavily involved in both the music and drama departments, as well as a varsity runner for the cross country and track teams. After he graduates, JT will continue his education either at St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD, or at Penn State University, where he would major in the Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies with a minor in Theatre.

About Jeff: I have accepted an offer to go to Harrisburg University of Science and Technology for Advanced Manufacturing. Throughout my years at East I have participated in our branch of the National Honor Society and Key Club, volunteering at school events and throughout the community. I am also a part of our Yearbook Club and I enjoy taking photos and brainstorming ideas for our layout and cover designs. Some of my favorite classes in school are 3D Art, Engineering, and Math because they push me to be creative and think outside of the box. Working hands on and problem solving have to be two of my favorite things, and these courses allow me to bring them together through unique projects and ideas. I aspire to learn more about Engineering, Manufacturing, and Woodworking through college and beyond. Thank you to the staff of Paxtang Elementary School and the students from the Class of 2020 for making my journey through school all the more memorable and fun. Remember to always be Paxtang Proud! :)
