• Welcome!

As a Reading Intervention Specialist, I assist the students, teachers, and parents of Paxtang Elementary School in a variety of ways including, but not limited to the following: observing students, collecting data, analyzing data, assisting in the classrooms, teaching reading intervention groups, organizing and facilitating weekly team meetings, organizing and administering the benchmark assessments, administering the PSSA assessments, setting up and attending parent meetings, administering and analyzing weekly progress monitoring assessments, setting up and facilitating action plan meetings, and maintaining a flexible list of students who may need extra supports to help them succeed at school.

Luckily, I am part of a wonderful professional team who help our students be successful learners.  Our team, which also includes classroom teachers and the parent/guardian of the child, uses research-based methods of interventions to help student succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially at school.

The goal of the data team is to ensure that all students receive an effective instructional program to reach their own learning potential.  I am happy to answer any questions you may have.  If I cannot answer them, I can direct your concern to an appropriate member of the team.
