Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Dupes

My name is Amanda Dupes and welcome to another school year! I am looking forward to being your child’s fourth grade teacher. I would like to take this time to introduce myself to you and your child.

I am originally from the Hummelstown area, but grew up in Lemoyne. After high school graduation, I began my college career at Harrisburg Area Community College. I transferred to Penn State Harrisburg, where I graduated in the fall of 2005 and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. In May of 2010, I received my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State Harrisburg. Not only am I certified in Elementary Education, but I also have my Principal Certification, K-12. I taught third grade in the Middletown Area School District for 9 years. I am very excited to be a part of the Central Dauphin School District. This is my ninth year of teaching in CDSD

In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, Mike, and my two sons, Rylan and Reid. I enjoy traveling within the United States, playing with my dog, reading, attending professional football games (I am a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan!!), boating on Raystown Lake, and spending time with my family and friends.

My focus throughout the school year is to create a positive and fun learning environment. I plan on using a variety of teaching methods to keep learning fun and exciting, which I feel leads to greater student achievement in the classroom.

If you have any questions or concerns at this time, please do not hesitate to contact me at my email address, Here’s to a great school year!
