  • The following are resources that may be beneficial for your child now or in the future:

    Medical Assistance- (M.A or access) To apply for Medical Assistance you will want to go to       
    Medical Assistance will be necessary to access many services that may be recommended throughout your child’s life.  It is highly recommended that you apply for Medical Assistance. Once a child has been approved for M.A there is a Managed Care organization called Perform Care that oversee the insurance related behavioral health aspects of your child’s needs. Perform Care and Community Care Behavioral Health. Please see below county information for the organization that applies to your child.

    If your child has been diagnosed with Autism or you suspect your child has Autism, you can contact Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders at 717-735-1920 for resource information. You can also contact Autism Harrisburg at 1-800-244-2425. for additional information


    Dauphin County Resources

    HELP attempts to find short term, emergency shelter for those low income individuals in need of housing. People who are faced with an eviction, and who fall into the category of being threatened by homelessness, can get crisis assistance too, such as emergency rent payments or deposits. 717-238-2851 H.E.L.P is located at 413 South 19th Street Harrisburg, PA 17104. Hours: M-F 9 am – 11 am and 1 pm- 3 pm EXCEPT Wednesday closed after 11 am. After hours contact 232-7511.
