Financial aid aims to make college accessible for students from various financial situations. The amount of financial aid in the form of federal and state grants, work-study and federal loans that a student qualifies for is determined by the student's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.  When determining the amount of financial aid awarded, the following factors (among other things) are taken into account: family income, the number of family members in college, medical expenses.  All collegebound students should complete the FAFSA form even if you think your family's income is too high to qualify.

PHEAA has created a brochure called Funding Your Future, which explains financial aid programs and resources.
