Hi :) I am Mrs. Skorupa, and I will be your third grade teacher this year! This is my 14th year teaching. Before coming to Rutherford Elementary, I taught at South Side Elementary for 12 years. I am very excited about teaching at Rutherford because I attended elementary school here too! I grew up locally in Rutherford and attended Central Dauphin School District for grades K-12. I had wanted to be a teacher since the sixth grade and the teacher who inspired my career path is still teaching in the district! I attended Penn State Harrisburg where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I then went on to earn my Master’s Degree from Wilkes University in Classroom Technology. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our daughter Kingsley (2 years old), taking my dog Cooper for a walk, reading, eating dessert, watching TV, shopping, and playing board games. I can’t wait to meet you and your family! I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning and fun!
