    Classroom Rules

Rutherford Elementary has a school-wide discipline plan.  This means that every student is held to the same expectations.

    School Rules:
    1.  Each student will act in a respectful manner
    2.  Each student will be responsible for his/her behavior.
    3.  Everyone will maintain an environment that is safe and conducive to learning.
    4.  Each student will be prepared to learn and participate effectively in school activities.

    Consequences:
    ~ Loss of recess
    ~ Note home to parents/guardians
(Communication Memo for minor behaviors, Office Discipline Referrals for major concerns)
    ~ Phone call to parents/guardians
~ Sent to the principal's office

    Raves

~ Students can earn Raves from any adult in our building by following school rules, making improvements in themselves (whether academically, behaviorally, or socially), or when they are “caught being good.” Raves may be placed into a weekly drawing prize drawing, saved to spend at the school store, or be used to buy entrance into a monthly reward. Items at the school store include school supplies, stickers, and small toys or trinkets. How the students use their Raves is up to them.
