Instant Language Assistant (ILA) Translation Technology Makes School Communication Easier for Every Family
We know it can be challenging to stay connected with your child’s school when language is a barrier. That’s why the CD School District is using Instant Language Assistant (ILA) Translation Technology to help. ILA can translate information into more than 200 languages, including Spanish, Nepali, Portuguese, Arabic, French, Vietnamese, and Haitian Creole. This means you can receive messages, updates, and important information in the language you’re most comfortable with. Our goal is to make sure every family feels informed and included, so you can stay involved and support your child’s success every step of the way.
Follow these directions to contact staff at your school's front office who will use an ILA device that will translate back-and-forth between the two of you!
How to Connect to Your School's Office:
- Scan the QR Code for your school
- Choose your language and dialect
- Enter your name
- Select “Join Room”
- The conversation will be translated during the call for both you and the school.
