EXPERIENCE
Dr. Micah Beaston is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in school social work and school mental health. With a decade of service at the Central Dauphin School District, she has dedicated much of her career to improving student well-being and fostering a supportive school environment. Most recently, Dr. Beaston held the roles of District Mental Health Coordinator and Chair of the School Social Work Department, where she led initiatives to enhance mental health services and support for students.
Dr. Beaston earned her Doctorate in Social Work Leadership and Education from Millersville University, where she remains an active member of the academic community. She serves as an adjunct professor in the university’s graduate program and contributes to the School of Social Work Advisory Board, reflecting her ongoing commitment to advancing the field of social work in education.
An advocate for both students and the professionals who serve them, Dr. Beaston continues to drive change in the intersection of mental health and education, empowering students and supporting educators with practical solutions and compassionate care.
