Assistant Superintendent for Academic Operations
With over 20 years of dedicated service in public education, Dr. Sarah Box brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the success and well-being of students in the Central Dauphin School District. A proud alum of the district, Dr. Box has been an integral part of the community, contributing at every level of the educational system.
Beginning as an elementary school teacher, Dr. Box developed a strong foundation in fostering student growth and creating engaging learning environments. After several years in the classroom, she advanced to a leadership role as an elementary principal, where she served for 9 years. In this capacity, Dr. Box was known for her focus on improving instructional practices, supporting staff development, and creating a school culture that prioritized both academic excellence and student well-being.
Dr. Box served as the Director of Pupil Services for 5 years, where she oversaw student support programs, ensuring equitable access to educational resources and services for all students. Her leadership in this role contributed to the district’s efforts to provide comprehensive services that support the diverse needs of students and families.
Dr. Box earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Penn West University’s California campus. She is committed to continuous professional growth and holds a strong belief in the importance of evidence-based practices to drive educational outcomes.
Living in the district with her family, Dr. Box's children attend school within the district, further cementing her personal and professional investment in the community. As Assistant Superintendent, she continues to work diligently toward advancing the district’s mission of excellence in education for all students.
