My Ride K-12 App functions:
- Access to your student’s transportation assignment
- View messages regarding delays and bus changes
- Get the ETA of your student’s bus arrival.
If your student is a Walker or transportation is not being used, you will see “No Active Runs.”
Because the software developer makes a map viewable within the app, there has been a lot of confusion about the user's ability to track the bus. For security reasons, access to track the bus’s location throughout the bus run is not available. To eliminate this confusion, the map function on the app will be removed.
Please keep in mind that there are still some vehicles in the fleet that do not have tablets. As equipment is acquired, the installation process will continue. If your student’s vehicle does not have a tablet installed, you will not see the ETA. However, access to your student’s bus assignment and messages are still available. To get an ETA you can call dispatch at (717) 541-0680 if your bus/van is more than 15 minutes past the scheduled pickup time.
Remember to check your phone settings to make sure all the appropriate options are selected so the app can work properly, and you can register and access your student’s information.
If you have issues with using the My Ride K-12 app, please contact cdsdtransportation@cdschools.org. Due to the heavy volume of calls, emails, and messages, you may experience a 1 to 2 day delay in response times.
