    School Counselor's Corner
Welcome to the Counselor's Corner!  My name is Mrs. Kroeck (rhymes with Shrek) and I am the school counselor at North Side Elementary.  I have been at North Side Elementary since January 2007.  As the school counselor, I am committed to supporting the academic achievement of all students by focusing on the emotional, social, and behavioral needs of our children.  This goal is accomplished by developing a caring and supportive relationship with students that allows all students the opportunity to work through personal issues that prevent them from achieving academic success.
I work with students in several different capacities depending on the needs of the child(ren).  For instance, I work with some students on an individual basis.  Other students come to my office in small groups and we work through different issues or discuss different topics.  I also enjoy working with students in the classroom by talking with a large group of students during Classroom Guidance or Class Meetings.  If a student needs to see me they can be referred to my office by filling out a request slip, talking to their teacher, asking me in the hallway or having a parent call in.
When it comes down to it, I am a firm supporter in a team approach and feel that we can have the strongest impact on a student's life when students, parents, teachers, counselors and administrators work together!  Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you or your child.  If you need to reach me please call the school at 717-657-3201 ext. 2 and ask for Mrs. Kroeck or email me at kkroeck@cdschools.org.
