gfgMATH - Our math program is Go Math.  We will be learning about numbers, money, time, addition, subtraction, and fractions.  We'll do this through using manipulatives, math games, and small group activities.

ffgfgfREADING - Journeys is our reading series.  In this series the children are taught reading strategies to develop their reading skills using a variety of different types of literature.  Each child will learn reading skills by reading books specifically on their level.  This will be done in small reading groups.  Our phonics program, Phonology, will also teach students decoding skills to help with their reading fluency.

fgfSCIENCE - We cover three Science units in first grade.  They are New Plants, Earth, Sun, and Moon, and Solids and Liquids.  Each lesson involves a hands on experiment.  The students have fun exploring with the materials and learning at the same time.
