Welcome to Kindergarten
October Update:This unusual year is off to a great start! We are getting into our routines and learning the expectations of our classroom and South Side. Our beginning of the year assessments have been completed and our work will begin to be more individualized to the strengths and needs of each student. We are finishing up unit 1 of Go Math! which has focused on sorting and classifying and graphing. Unit 2 will focus on 2-Dimenstional shapes. At the end of each unit, a unit assessment will come home with your child, so please watch for that. We will begin learning the routines and expectiations for our literacy centers shortly. They will look a bit different this year, as the students will be completing the work in their seats, instead of in actual centers in our classroom. We will also not be sharing supplies or center activities. There will be a learning curve as we find how this will work best this year.Check out the Counselor Corner. They have a lot of additional information there.https://www.cdschools.org/domain/1190 Counselors corner
Attendance at school is very important. Stay alert for information from our nurses and district as to how this will work for the coming school year.
