Welcome to Kindergarten
March 27, 2020 Update:NEW--PLEASE complete the survey that hopefully you recieved via email. If you did not, let me know and I can send it again. You can also find it on the district website. The district is in the process of trying to find out what families have access to technology (computers, internet) and what families are in need of these things. This is a work in progress, so please let me know any concerns. The kindergarten teachers are working hard to create a kindergarten website that will be available to all kindergarten families. Once we have it fully functional we will send it out so that everyone in kindergarten is recieving the same information at the same time. That too is a work in progress so please work with us to figure all this out. We miss seeing everyone and hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. If there is anything I can do, please let me know! What a crazy and unexpected experience we are sharing together. I hope everyone is at least enjoying the extra time with family. I sent a number of ideas and activities in an email on March 16. If you would like more ideas, activities, please let me know. I am checking my email frequently. Please know that these ideas are meant to be just ideas for you if you choose to use them. Nothing is graded, turned in or required. If there is anything else I can do to support you or your child, please let me know! I'll share additional ideas I find here as well as through email. In addition, Mr. Beenan and Dr. Miller are sending out updates as things change. If you aren't recieving these emails, please let me know so I can forward that information and hopefully get that corrected.New--Mr. Shelleman and Miss Myers have added tons of fun things on their web sites. Be sure to check them out if you are looking for something to do. Please see the email from Mr. Beeman for accurate information reguarding breakfast and lunch pick up. They ask that you DO NOT get out of your car.
Attendance at school is very important. Part of our AYP comes directly from our attendance percentage. It is very important that your child is in school and on time DAILY. Of course, if your child is sick, we want them to stay home to get better. Your child must be fever free with out medication for 24 hours before returning to school. Upon returning, you must provide a note with a signature and the reason for the absence within 3 days for the absence to be counted as excused. If not, the absence will be marked as unexcused. Please try to have your child attend daily.
