•                    WELCOME to the 2019-20 school year!
Please let your child's planner and teacher communication guide homework time.

Best practise dictates ensuring that your child knows that school attendance is expected.  Unless you know your child is ill, please get them to school on a daily basis.  Absences from school require a note from home or the doctor/dentist/etc.  Settling children into a routine takes time, but should develop fairly quickly with your expectations and support.

Please keep a close eye on your child's electronic communications.  Look at what they are posting on instagram, youtube, facebook, etc.  Talk about using manners when on-line.  Cyber bullying is a hot topic and serious consequences can evolve from that situation.  Establish time limits and other rules to ensure safe internet use.

    Golden rules for parents:

    1.  Do not be afraid to consequent, praise, and reward your children.

    2.  Do what you say you are going to do.

    3.  You are a parent, not your child's friend.

If something happens and you feel you need my support, please contact me via e-mail kdevor@cdschools.org or by phone/text  717-329-9790.
