¡Bienvenidos a la clase de la Sra. Paul!

Welcome to Mrs. Paul's Spanish class!

    Contact Information:
    Mrs. Jessica Paul
    Central Dauphin East High School
    Spanish 1 and Spanish 2
     A little about me:
I graduated from DeSales University with a bachelor of art in education.  (I won't even put the year because it was a very long time ago!)  I received a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a second Master's in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University.
I have been teaching in the Central Dauphin School District since 1998.  I have been here at East High since 2012.  I am currently teaching Spanish 1 and Spanish 2.
I live in Millersburg with my husband (Jamie), dog (Smudge) and pet ratties (Toby & Ted).  I have 2 of my own kids (Jake - Lock Haven University, class of 2022 and Jordan, Shippensburg University, class of 2025) and 2 bonus kids (Logan - IUP class of 2021 and Mitch - who has gifted me with 2 amazing grandsons).
In my free time I enjoy reading and being outside as much as possible.  I love to go camping and ride motorcycle with my husband and friends.

     Course Information:

Spanish 1 is an introductory course that begins with students learning the basics.  Students will learn how to work with verbs to form sentences and ask and answer questions.  Students will begin to practice reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.  Students will learn how to communicate in the present tense only.

Spanish 2 picks up where Spanish 1 left off.  After a brief review, students will continue to learn present tense and then will progress to the preterite, or past, tense.  Students will continue to improve reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

Course information for both classes is posted in Canvas and kept updated.  Students should refer to the agenda daily and weekly to stay on top of all assignments.
