• Hello! I am Lauren Morgan, I have been teaching at Central Dauphin for six years.  Prior to working at Central Dauphin I was teaching at Toisnot Middle School in Wilson, North Carolina.  I graduated from West Chester Univeristy with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.  After that I proceeded to get my teaching certification from Millersville University.  In August of 2017 I completed my Masters of Education in Teaching and Learning at Lock Haven University.

Arts education is an essential aspect of every child’s education. Studies have stressed the importance of the arts in education. Arts education includes multiple disciplines such as music, dance, theatre, and visual arts. Studying the arts is vital to our culture. Data has overwhelmingly supported the study and participation in the fine arts as an integral part in enhancing learning in other academic studies. Other proven benefits include reducing student dropout, team players, developing creativity, and yielding a more prepared individual for life after high school.
