Hello! My name is Mandy Bates and I am the Assistant Principal at Central Dauphin Middle School. I love getting to know the parents and students at CDMS; I believe that a strong partnership between home and school is a key element in the educational, social, and emotional success of students.
A little about me: I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Millersville University and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University. I am starting my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Millersville University in Spring of 2020. I started my career in the Central Dauphin School District in 2007. I have previously taught special education and first grade in several different schools in the district. I live in the country with my husband, two children (Easton- 5 years old, Alexis- 4 years old) and two dogs. We love to go biking, watch our children play sports, and spend time at our new property (we are getting ready to build a new house). I am an avid reader, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan and consumer of Panera Bread Hot Chocolate!
I love partnering alongside the excellent staff at CDMS and helping them meet the needs of all our students. I look forward to getting to know every member of the CDMS community so please reach out to me if you ever have any comments, compliments, or concerns. Below is my contact information. Thanks
