• Mr. Beeman, Principal:

    Welcome to South Side!

    This is Mr. Beeman’s 19th year in education and third year as the principal at South Side. Prior to becoming the principal at South Side Elementary, he taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and was an assistant principal for 5 years. Mr. Beeman holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Mansfield University and a master’s degree from Cabrini College in K-12 educational leadership.

    Outside of South Side, Mr. Beeman enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching Penn State Football, Penn State Wrestling and New York Yankees baseball.

    Mrs. Baldwin, Assistant Principal:

    Hello! Welcome to South Side for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year!

    My name is Stacy Baldwin and I am one of the Assistant Principals here at South Side. I started this new position in December 2021. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to serve at South Side. This will be my 18th year in education. I graduated from Lock Haven University with a certification in Early Childhood and then received my Masters in Educational Leadership from Shippensburg University. Prior to this role, I have been a kindergarten teacher, first grade teacher, third grade teacher, and an English Language teacher. 

    I am so excited to begin the new school year! By working together, we can ensure a successful learning experience for all! It is my goal to get to know each and every one of you and assist in any way I can.

    Ms. King, Assistant Principal:

    My name is Krista King, and I am very excited to be the new Assistant Principal at South Side Elementary School. I am honored that I was chosen to assist in leading such an amazing school. This is my 15th year in education. I graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Elementary Education. Then I earned my Masters of Special Education at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. I earned my Principal Certification through Penn State University. During my career, I have been a Special Education Teacher, Special Education Facilitator, and most recently, a Special Education Supervisor. 

    I look forward to working with students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders of the South Side community. I believe in working collaboratively together to ensure every student is successful. I am looking forward to a great year.
