Hello students and parents! We are all so excited to be working with your young learners this year as we explore what it means to be a PANTHER!

Firstly, I would like to provide a bit of background on myself. I graduated from Penn State Harrisburg in 2002 with a B.S. degree in Psychology. After graduation, I worked in local elementary and middle schools as a social worker for several years. I enjoyed the school environment a great deal, and decided to return to college as a graduate to become a high school Math Educator. I returned to Penn State Harrisburg, and received my Level I Certification in Mathematics Education in December 2006. I began teaching at East High directly upon graduation in January 2007. In 2013, I received my Level II Certificate. I have been teaching here at East High for 16 years this January. I enjoy the students here tremendously and think of us as one big family. I am very excited about the upcoming 2022-2023 school year to work with all the new, returning, and soon to be graduating students.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all. Please feel free to contact me for any reason whatsoever. My calling is to help our young students not only learn content and responsibility, but also how to be caring and thoughtful young women and men. Teamwork is essential in accomplishing this for our graduating seniors. It is truly exciting to watch them step out into the world.

This year I will be using CANVAS and TAC to increase communication about assignments, content, and grades. Please refer to those sites for more information related to the course and progress.

EAST HIGH WILL BE OFFERING FREE MATH HELP THIS YEAR IN THE LIBRARY AFTER SCHOOL ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAY!
