LMS Student Council: 2020-2021
ATTENTION all enthusiastic and hardworking current 7th Graders! Are you interested in running for Student Council next year? If so, check out the officer roles and Student Council information found below…
The Student Council President sets meeting agendas and actively leads meetings. The President leads the planning for school dances, sales events, and other activities that will help promote a positive school environment for all LMS students. The President also regularly works with Student Council advisers, officers, and principals to share ideas and plan for school-wide events.
The Vice President works with the President to actively lead LMS Student Council. Additionally, the Vice President helps supervise meetings and lead in the planning for school dances, sales events, and other activities that will help promote a positive school environment for all LMS students.
The Communications Specialist works to maintain accurate records of meetings, make sure school activities (dances and sales events) are well advertised and shared with all students and staff members, and report on important Student Council news with members.
The role of the Project Manager is to organize and manage activities such as school dances and sales events. The Project Manager will help develop creative ideas, actively participate in the planning of school-wide activities, and lead peers in meeting goals.
The Community Coordinator is responsible for organizing activities that help promote LMS Rams Pride throughout our entire school community. Activities may include helping to support local foundations and charities, organizing spirit weeks and events, and planning with organizations.
*All Student Council officers are expected to maintain satisfactory academic performance in all classes, serve as positive role models and student leaders, regularly attend meetings, help with special events, make positive contributions to our school community, and show Rams Pride each day!
We are planning to have our 2020-2021 Student Council elections next school year. In the meantime, start thinking about the officer roles that most interest you and how you can make positive contributions to LMS! Mrs. McNamara and Mr. Hetrick will share additional information in the Fall. Please contact them with any questions.
