WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN!Dear Parents and Students,If you click the page listed on the right titled At Home Activities you will find a list of great activities you can do at home with only a few materials you may have on hand. The enrichment and learning activities I'm supplying are to help keep students engaged in learning while school is not in session. I hope you and your families have time to stregnthen relationships through this experience and stay healthy. Hoping to see you soon! If you have any questions that I might be able to help with please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.orgMs. Kyteps: here's a page I found with some good printable pages but the information if you read the whole page is very good and can give you ideas of other things to see if you child knows or can do yet.I just wanted to introduce myself...
My name is Amy Kyte and I will be your child’s kindergarten teacher this year (2019-2020). This will be my 31st year teaching (27th year in kindergarten + 4 years in a special education classroom). I am married, the Ms. tends to confuse people but the last name of Kyte was way to fun to give up as a kindergarten teacher! I have 1 boy at home who is in 10th grade at East High (Colin), and 1 who is away at college (West Chester)studying music (Jamie). I'm sure you will hear many stories about them throughout the year as well as my 2 dogs and 3 cats. I am also a step-mom of 2 who have moved out and married, and a grandmother of 4 . The easiest way to contact me is via e-mail at: email@example.com .
If you would like to donate materials for us to use in our classroom, I have a list on Amazon (the link is below) or you can pick up a sticky note with some things at our Back To School Night on September 11th . Occassionally I will put needed items in our newsletter as well. Thanks!!!
Please keep in mind…*Sneakers are really the best shoes for kindergarten! Flip-flops, sandals and crocs are not safe on the playground. Students wearing flip flops are not permitted to use any of the playground equipment.
* please leave all toys and school supplies at home; we will have all the supplies needed in our room, your child will only need a full size bookbag that he/she can open & close independently.* your child should wear clothing that he/she can fasten and unfasten independently when using the bathroom*please remember to eat a hearty meal before school as there is no snack time in kindergarten*please label everything that comes to school- we get many coat and book bag duplicates so having things labeled with your child’s name is very helpful
Please check out the other pages on this website for more information and regular newsletter updates.
2 hour delay modified Kindergarten schedule:AM Kdg: 11:00am to 12:45pmPM Kdg: 2:00pm to 3:40pmIf you have any questions feel free to email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll be happy to get back to you. I usually check my school email 2-3 times a day (before school, at lunchtime, after school) so I should get back to you within 24 hours. With our busy schedule I may not be able to check and respond to emails during the school day so please be patient. If you don't hear from me after 24-48 hours please send me a note... I have been having trouble recieving some emails, they get quarrantined in our spam filters. ~Ms. KytePlease review our rules (a paper with them will be sent home during the first week of school) with your children and reinforce "appropriate school and bus behaviors". It is very important we become a respectful community of learners so that we can have a safe, fun and educational year in kindergarten. Our rules are:The 3 B's...1.) Be respectful.2.) Be responsible.3.) Be safe.
