NOTICE DIRECTOR VACANCY
NOTICE IS HEREBY PROVIDED that the Central Dauphin School Board has a vacancy to fill for Region 1 School Director due to the resignation of one of its members. The Board is seeking qualified applicants who are a U.S. Citizen, at least 18 years of age, of good moral character, and have been a resident of the Central Dauphin School District Region 1 (Swatara Township, Paxtang Borough, and Penbrook Borough) for at least one year prior to February 29, 2024, and shall not be a holder of any office or position as specified in Section 322 of the School Code; nor shall the individual be a member of the municipal council. (See generally School Board Policy 004, Section 2). Applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume (not required) to the Board Secretary, Mrs. Kim McConnell at The Central Dauphin Administration Building, 600 Rutherford Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. All letters of interest must be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 20, 2024 as the Board intends to appoint a new member at its meeting on March 25, 2024. The appointment is for the unexpired term ending December 2025. WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH IS MARCH 1-31, 2024
The CDSD celebrates and recognizes Women’s History Month from March 1-31, 2024. The 2024 theme is "Women who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion." The United Nations first recognized International Women's Day, on March 8, 1975. As leaders, pioneers, homemakers, trailblazers, etc., women were and are essential in the founding of our nation and the path towards the future.
