10th Annual Running for Rachel

April 17 – April 25, 2021

Dress Down Day

Rachel a 2005 Central Dauphin Graduate

Running For Rachel began in an effort to support our daughter, Rachel Lynn Guss, as she battled duodenal cancer. Since her passing in November 2011, our mission continues with raising awareness and funds for gastrointestinal cancer research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused extraordinary disruptions in medical research for potentially lifesaving cancer treatments. Experts say that future funding and research progress are now at risk. This setback is complicated by an alarming new study of cancer trends among adolescents and young adults in the United States. Researchers report a shocking 30% increase in cancer diagnoses among individuals 15 to 39 years old.

We are grateful for your past support and appreciate any support you can give us during this unprecedented time. Your support helps us in our mission to continue raising funds in Rachel’s honor and hope to others like Rachel.
