Year End Senior Schedule-Extra Graduation Tickets

Dear Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2024,

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming graduation ceremony, a truly monumental event in the lives of our students. This remarkable occasion, symbolizing the culmination of their academic journey and a testament to their perseverance and commitment, will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at Landis Field (4600 Locust Ln, Harrisburg, PA 17109).

Once again, graduation will be a ticketed event (ages two and under do not need a ticket). Each graduate will receive a wristband during the last practice, which must be worn to graduation. Graduates are advised to secure their caps in case of wind and wear flat-soled shoes. We understand that graduation is a special occasion, and we aim to make it memorable for all students and their families. These precautions are in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these safety measures.

Central Dauphin East High School has taken comprehensive measures to ensure the graduation ceremony proceeds smoothly, even in the face of inclement weather. We have set two rain dates. The first rain date is Thursday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m., and the second is Saturday, June 8, at 3:30 p.m. These rain dates will also be held at Landis Field. We sincerely hope we won't need to use these dates; however, if we need to postpone due to inclement weather, we will use the first rain date. If the first rain date also experiences inclement weather, we will move to the second rain date. In the event of a postponement, we will communicate by the morning of the event to ensure you are informed and prepared, prioritizing your safety and comfort.

During the day of the graduation ceremony, gates will open to families one (1) hour prior (5:30 p.m.) to the start of the event. We encourage all families and graduates to carpool. Handicapped seating and parking are available for our guests. The handicapped seating will be available on the track on the home side, and the handicapped parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the field. Additionally, hearing-impaired equipment is available upon request.

Additionally, CDSD will be livestreaming the graduation for those unable to attend in person. We understand that not everyone may be able to join us physically, and we want to ensure that no one feels left out. Please use this livestream hyperlink to view the ceremony.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. You can contact us at 717-541-1662.
