Message from Ms. Melissa Grady
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is with great excitement that I introduce myself to the parents of Tri-Community Elementary School. I was approved by the Central Dauphin School Board as the new Assistant Principal of Tri-Community Elementary School. I wanted to take the time to introduce myself and tell you that I look forward to meeting you in person.
My name is Ms. Melissa Grady. First of all, I want to tell you that I went to Tri-Community Elementary school as a student; I also went to Swatara Middle School and East High School. This community is very important to me; it is where I grew up and I am so glad to be coming home to my roots!
I graduated from Millersville University with a dual certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I received my Master’s Degree from Wilkes University in Early Childhood Literacy. I then received my Principal certification through the University of Scranton and my ESL certification through Wilkes University. I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grades, with the majority of my 13 years of experience in Kindergarten, second and fifth grades. I was also a reading intervention teacher in grades K-8. I taught for 8 years in Harrisburg School District and 5 years, here in Central Dauphin School District at South Side Elementary School.
I am eager to continue my journey here at Tri-Community Elementary School and work with you, the students and staff!
Melissa Grady, M.Ed. Assistant Principal, Tri-Community Elementary Central Dauphin School District 717-939-9591
