Special Education Plan

Special Education Plan 2024-2027

The Special Education Plan, which is part of the Central Dauphin School District's strategic plan, was due to the Pennsylvania Department of Education on May 1, 2024. An important step in the submission process is the requirement for each district to make its plan available to the public for review and comment for 28 days prior to School Board approval. The 28-day public review and comment period began on March 22, 2024, and ended on April 19, 2024. During the public review and comment period, a draft version of the plan was posted to this website and a paper copy available for review during regular business hours at the district Administration Building.

At the conclusion of the public review and comment period, a final version of the Special Education Plan was submitted to the School Board of Directors and formally approved at the regular meeting of the Central Dauphin School District School Board on Monday, April 22. The Special Education Plan was submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Education prior to the July 31, 2024 deadline and final approval was subsequently provided by the Bureau of Special Education.
